Video from today. Original rap spoof. Wanted to make fun of how generic and stupid rap/pop music can get, with a very monotone voice. Subscribeeee, please. I’ll have your children if you do. And make you cookies.
This video’s a week old, but I still feel like I haven’t helped enough people with it. :/ Go subscribe! I’ll be posting more videos on this topic in the future!
I said in my new video that I’d share the original script in the comment section since I felt bad for having to cut parts out in the actual video, but since it was too long for YouTube to handle, I decided to share it here and then link this post in the description. :)
If you haven’t seen the actual video, you can go see it on my channel:
(Titled “You’re Thin Enough”)
Today’s video’s not gonna be funny necessarily, mainly because I’m gonna go over a sensitive topic that affects a lot of women, and it bothers me.
A few of my videos make me seem like an insensitive jerk who only likes to make jokes about women, but I make those jokes because most of my friends are girls and it kinda just happens.
It IS sarcasm, kinda like when a blonde girl acts stupid as a joke and people take her seriously, I’m a guy acting like he doesn’t know anything about women and people think I actually don’t.
But over the years, I’ve come to know a lot about teenage girls in particular, and that’s what brings me to today’s topic.
As I said a few seconds ago, the majority of my friends are girls, and over half of the girls I talk to suffer from some sort of depression.
That can include self esteem issues that lead to cutting, suicidal thoughts, and anorexia.
But for today’s video, we’re just gonna discuss anorexia and self esteem issues and I’ll probably make a video on cutting and suicide another time.
So to begin, I feel like I should start with why a lot of girls are self conscious about their weight in the first place.
If you flip open any magazine or turn to pretty much any channel on TV, the so called “hottest” girls are always really thin and wearing little to no clothing.
They walk around with big chests and butts, a really thin waist, and you often see “men” drooling for girls like this.
I say “men” in quotations because I feel what describes a man is how a guy treats women, but I’ll get into that later.
Another place your hear women objectified into this “ideal women” society has created is in rap music.
Literally 90% of rap videos have some portrayal of a “big booty hoe shaking the ass her mama gave her.”
*in rapper costume*
Sippin’ gin all day, gettin’ riches, buyin’ fake bitches.
So between music, magazines, and TV, you have this fake image created that women see at a young age and inspire to be like.
It’s not just women who are objectified to this, men are as well to another extent, but it’s mostly women who are affected.
What’s ironic is how when women got the rights they deserve as human beings, they were also slowly getting more objectified in this way, so they’re still suffering when they don’t deserve to.
It went from women being taught to be stay at home moms submissive to their husbands, to women who have to try their best to look like this ideal created by society.
I feel like I’ve been blabbing on a lot, and I haven’t really got to the point. So I’ll do that.
Ladies, you don’t have to look towards these fake images of woman-hood and try to be like that to get attention.
Cuz if you look carefully, you see that the attention girls get when they follow Hollywood is not always the right kind of attention.
Some girls are “ratchet” (as the cools kids say) and want this kind of attention, but if you’re looking for a sincere guy, this isn’t the best way to go.
And even if you DO get a sincere guy when you’re this ideal, it’s not gonna be real to him because you’ve made yourself somebody who’s not who you are.
Guys who are sincere and only wanna see the best for you are guys who only wanna see the best for YOU and not this “perfect” girl you’re trying to make yourself.
Guys like this are guys that will find you perfect even in the worst situations.
Even when you’re done crying and your make up is smeared all over your face, he’ll be there to wash it off and tell you that you shouldn’t wear makeup in the first place because you don’t need it.
Even when you wake up in the morning with your hair looking like a Smerf-sized tornado raped it when you were sleeping, he’ll smile and tell you how happy he is to wake up to such a beautiful girl.
And even on the days where you feel like just wearing sweats with your hair back, he’ll be the first one to buy ice-cream and movies and cuddle you.
But if you want a guy like this, one of the things you have to do is be honest about who you are.
If you’re not the skinniest person ever, you might have the biggest heart, and you not being a twig isn’t gonna make you ugly.
If you get to the point of anorexia where you can see your rib cage, you’re just gonna look like somebody Daryl Dixon would shoot on site if he saw you.
And in fact, if you want a larger chest and ass, you’ll accomplish so by not being the skinny like mainsteam media suggests because you don’t just lose weight from your stomach, your chest and ass also get smaller.
Curvier girls are sexier girls.
And girls who are happy with who they are are the sexiest.
Most true guys do find self confidence attractive.
There’s a difference between self confidence and narcissism. Guys like it when you’re happy with who you’re made to be, but not when you think you’re the greatest gift to mankind.
And some of you are probably saying it’s hard to find a guy like what I described earlier.
It’s not that it’s hard, you just have to look somewhere you normally wouldn’t.
That’s my number one piece of advice when it comes to finding your prince charming.
This video’s probably gone on for a while, so I should finish it up.
If you have to take one thing from this video, it should be this:
You can’t expect to find a guy who truly appreciates who you are unless you appreciate yourself first.
Love you all, goodbye. :)
